ntique Glass Domes We do offer antique glass domes when available and currently have the largest selection available anywhere. The current stock is listed in the Catalog. Most antique domes come with their original base. However if we get the dome without the original base we offer a new Antique Style base for these domes. The antique style bases are made to look like the original and have the same edge profile. See Bases. Unfortunately we can not cut antique domes. Be sure to check both the new domes and antique domes if you are looking for a particular size.

ases For Your Glass Dome We have bases to match the domes we market. These are antique style and are made of hardwoods. Some are available in black or mahogany in color. The bases are about 1" thick, have a groove for the dome to sit in, and have feet which elevate the base about 1/2". Bases are offered with velvet on the top and in the groove or velvet in the groove only. There is a small extra charge for this service. Base supplied may not be the exact one shown in the picture. We have a number of antique bases as well. Adding an antique base to a new dome also enhances the appearance and value. Let us know if you would prefer an antique base. In cases where a dome can`t be found to meet the base you currently have, the clock can be fitted to a new base with a current production dome. It will enhance the clock and keep the dust out of the movement.
mperfect Glass Dome Since the glass domes are hand blown not every one is perfect. We offer imperfect domes at a greatly reduced price. The usual imperfect dome will have a slightly irregular shape on the rounded top.
hipping Glass domes are shipped by UPS ground service, Priority or Parcel Post Mail. Next Day delivery is possible if ordered before 12 noon ET. A packing fee may be required depending on the size of the dome. The shipping charge is added to your order. (Let us know if time of delivery is critical) International orders are generally sent by International Express or International Priority.
